Have you ever wondered if you could grow a garden in the winter? Well i did so I searched on web a little and this is what I found out. You can grow a garden in the winter. In the winter you can grow radish, beets, carrots, turnips, rutabagas, salsify, and parsnips.
In the winter the plants usually stay close to the ground sometimes they even grow under ground. They do this for heat and stay warm. One of the reasons it is nice to garden in the winter is because you have no pests to eat your vegetables. It is cold so they can barely survive the cold.
One thing that is different is in the winter the plants grow slower. The colder it is outside, the slower the plants grow. Sometime they are even just dormant it is so cold out. They won't start growing again until the days lengthen a little and the temperature rises a little.
So get out there and try something new! You can always use some veggies. I just gave you some information but if you need more just search the web.
