Derbyshire Garden Interview

By Interviewer at 05/23/08 06:53

Name of your website?

Derbyshire Garden

Your name?

Edward Lewis

Your Location (city, etc)

Bonsall, near Matlock in Derbyshire

Please give us a short summary of your website?

The website contains a selection of information and pictures about our 4 acre garden which we have been developing over the last 12 years.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The website is used to promote and raise the profile of our garden. Previously we only had a few pages devoted to it on our Bed and Breakfast site (www.cascadesgardens.com), but it didnt really do it justice.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We thought we would go for something as descriptive as possible, it also helps with the SEO!

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

There are lots of pictures of unusual flowers. Any person with a keen interest in the subject will really enjoy browsing through the collection.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

The BBC recently filmed the Garden for one of their programs. We uploaded the footage to youtube and we saw a big increase in traffic to the site and visitors to the garden!

What is your website address?

Derbyshire Garden
