Do you have nasty powdery mildew on your plants that you want to get rid of? You can make a mixture with baking soda to do just that. Weekly spraying of susceptible plants during humid or damp weather can greatly reduce the incidence of powdery mildew in your garden.
To control powdery mildew on plants, mix together:
1 tablespoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of liquid soap
1 gallon of water
This recipe is known to work, but can also burn the plant. So to reduce the risk of burning, you should water the plants a couple days before treatment. You also should not spray plants with the mixture in full sun. Test on a small area to test mixture.
